Shipping is a derived demand and contains no value without the presence of cargo. Therefore my foremost step towards customers, is to give most bargained rates and best services in such a way that vessels must turn around from the Ports in minimal time and no cargo shortage / damages occur while loading / discharging. If I keep my services charges low then it will be added up a reasonable amount towards wholesale prices in that cargo and finally will be sold in a particular market at an affordable rates to ultimate consumers. If this chain continues then shipping or transportation will be long lasting and protracted.
